This church was inspired by the book written by Teresa Layman and Barbara Morgenroth called “Gingerbread Things to Make and Bake” (published in 1992). It includes many ideas and patterns and it’s one of my favorite gingerbread books!
For the stained glass you crush some life saver candies and insert the different colors into the unbaked gingerbread dough.
When the dough is baked, the candies melt to look like stained glass. It’s magic!
