I placed the quilts near the windows so you can see them when you peek in.
I used the royal icing to “glue” the lights to the inside walls. The paper clips helped support the wire until the icing dried hard:
This was the little “treasure” I put in near the front door….a little Amazon package!
I still use heavy cans and aluminum foil to support the roof while the royal icing dries hard. I’ve previously experienced the worse construction mistake ever…where the roof is so heavy it slips down before the royal icing is dry.
I think this took 31 hours to complete. I finished at 3 pm on Christmas Eve, my family came over at 5 pm for Christmas Eve dinner and by 9 pm, the gingerbread house was demolished. A good time was had by all!
